a great day! peace reigned and the weather was clear. This year people were gathering about an hour before the food was served. It was great to see people sitting around talking, laughing and being a community. We've come a long way. I think each year builds upon the other and somehow establishes a safe haven. Everyone had a good time and we served BBQ sandwiches until we ran out.
Our helpers were geared up and worked hard to ensure a fun yet efficient environment.
Establishing credibility within a community takes time.
Serving our way into the heart of our community requires consistency.
Developing relationships with people builds trust.
Sharing and being the good news bears fruit.
