Pretty Good BBQ!

Each year we celebrate our Dayton connection by hosting a Pretty Good BBQ at the Dayton Campus on 1222 N Main St.  Hundreds of pulled pork sandwiches are gladly received by the community near our campus. The BBQ is provided by some great guys and gals who drive to Dayton from different states for the event and by our own Dayton Vineyard Men. It is a great way to build relationships and to serve our community.

Saturday May 5, at 2 pm set up and Sunday 9am set up, pulling pork, making sandwiches etc. for 12pmish start.
It's fun, fast paced and a rewarding way to give back to our community.

Big Spring Clean!

Saturday,  May 19th New Date. Changed due to weather forecast.

We are going to launch a family friendly outreach to Fairborn Primary and Beavercreek Ferguson Middle school. It will be a great day to take some time out as familes and serve together.

We will kick things off with Krispy Kreme Donuts, break for lunch at 12pm and end about 2pm. We ask that families bring landscape tools like rakes, shovels, hedge trimmers, chain saws, leaf blowers, clippers and gloves.

Many hands really does make work doable and easier plus having families working together enables our Vineyard Kidz to serve in a fun safe environment.

Easter Egg Hunt!

Seems hard to believe we've had 8 years or so throwing a community Giant Easter Egg Hunt in Kettering OH. Each year we are amazed that so many people from the Vineyard sign up to serve and we are always surprised by how many families from the community show up.

This year we had a blast. Two huge fields, free face painting, kidz zone, free hot dogs, prizes clowns and characters.

One Grand-mom was sitting next to our free food line and asked me, 'Who are you people? I've been sitting here for the last half an hour. I've seen the people serving, smiling, laughing. All have good attitudes. They don't complain even when they are asked to do difficult tasks like picking up half eaten hotdogs and paper. The atmosphere is wonderful. Are you the Kettering City Parks people? My answer, 'No we are the Dayton Vineyard a church in you area that loves to serve the community.' It was interesting to see her smile and continue to comment more positively.

Serving our community is part of what we do to love our city into a relationship with Jesus.

Good deeds, creates good will, that opens hearts, to the good news.
