Creating God Space Where God Things Can Happen.

Creating God Space...Where God Things Can Happen...

“God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him,
though he is not far from each one of us.
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’”
Acts 17:27-28 (NIV)

Decisions Determine Destiny... Our destiny and the destiny of others. Our choice to inter connect with another person may change the trajectory of  their life for eternity.

What is God Space?
God space is a tangible space that we can create by faith. God space is an atmosphere,
or an environment, where God’s presence, goodness, kindness, knowledge, and power
are present to nurture faith in another human being.

Clues to creating God Space:
O Learn to be a friendly, open hearted person.
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer
than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24 (NKJ)

Friendly open hearted people love their way into the hearts of the people they meet.

Ask yourself:
What does friendly look like?
How do you know when someone is friendly and open hearted?
What are some tips to becoming a friendlier person?

“Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.” Luke 6:31 (NAS)

O Notice others, be aware of the people around you.

Most people are not aware of others. Most people live in their small world and are preoccupied with their personal agenda. In order to notice others we must first of all become aware that we are not aware, then intentionally practice the art of noticing.

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed
and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” Matthew 9:36 (NIV)

O Actively listen for God prompts.
“Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.
For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 8:34-35 (NIV)

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me...” John 10:27 (NAS)

As one great saint stated, "It's practicing the presence of Jesus." It's learning to listen, to look, to feel, to lean into, and be in touch with God's Holy Spirit.

O Develop otherlyness through serving.

Serving others opens the door for God space to be created in a practical way. As we serve others, opportunities naturally emerge for a God connection.

“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a
ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 (NAS)

O Offer prayer...prayer is the connection point.

When we pray for people, and are in faith, God's creative Spirit has the opportunity to flow out from us to meet the need of another thus creating God space where God things can happen.

“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as
freely as you have received!” Matthew 10:8 (NLT)

Big Idea:
In order to create God space to help others, we have to first create God space for ourselves and in ourselves. In other words, in order to make God known, we must first know God and experience God.

Tip: Create your own God space daily. Read, pray, worship, listen, receive and respond to His prompting as you wait upon Him.

The Principle.
“Give as freely as you have received!” Matthew 10:8 (NLT)

What have you received?

Two sacrifices that are pleasing to God...

1. “Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit
of lips that give thanks to His name.

Amazingly, it's through our surrendered connection to Jesus, that the Father creates the acceptable worshippers He seeks.

And

2. Do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:15-16 (NAS)

Those who claim to be in Him must also walk like HIm. He came to serve and give his life as a ransom for many.

This Christmas season why not practice creating God space. I think you'll have fun.
