great day on Saturday 20 of us headed downtown to help a lady clean up her yard for spring. It was a blast! 2 landscape people directed the work.
We raked leaves, cleaned flower beds, moved rubbish, mulched, and generally made the place look great. One of the guys was a contractor and noticed her gate was in need of being replaced...so he phoned one of his suppliers and they donated a $400 gate. He will hang the gate when it is finished being made. It felt like extreme yard make over.
The lady and her daughter were really touched by the project...both were in tears. Amazing what 1hr and a half work can do. We will be returning to help move a brick walkway in April and May. small things done with great love is changing her world.
