wow! what power I have...to be able to pray and see the major weather system stop, move back north...most of the mid west all the way to Atlanta would be grateful if the last grasp of winter could somehow be shoved north where it belongs...
only if I had enough faith...to pray it away...sigh...not enough faith...sorry my mid-west friends for my failure...my lack of faith...
reality...nor rain, nor sleet, nor hail, nor snow can keep fun, upbeat, community outreach from moving outward...
yes, it will be cold, yes we will reach out, yes we will still have a great time providing an awesome, fun, up beat community event...
yes we will dress warm, yet stylish...yes we will use hand-warmers, yes 2000 hot doggers will be cooked, yes we will serve snow cones(really!)
yes we will host a Giant Easter Egg Hunt with 20,000 Easter eggs... Why? some may ask...We reach out because it is what the Church is supposed to do...to care, to somehow communicate Jesus cares for you...in real time practical ways. Easter Egg Smeaster egg, the real reason...Christ died for all...and all who come to Him live...really live...how people discover or realize the truth of His great love and grace sometimes is revealed by small things done with great love.
